The most notable thing about this building is that it exists at all. Crammed into a trapezoidal sliver of land on the south side of Park Avenue between Grand Avenue and Steuben Street, the new four-story structure is now being pitched as a loft building on the street signage (it doesn’t get the time of day with Corco broker Deborah Rieders online). We’re generally optimistic longer-term about the blocks on either side of the BQE, but this kind of crapola doesn’t exactly help the cause. Question for the brokers: Is it ethical to take a listing that you’re too embarrassed to include on your website? BTW, Clinton Hill Blog also posted about this earlier this morning. GMAP

  1. a broker will take just about any listing that can come their way. someone will buy it! i personally would never buy one of these but someone will. as for the broker’s looks…I personally would never….and uhm, well you get it… scarey

  2. i called and they said the seller was waiting to finish the house ..that’s why it’s not online- does anyone know how much you could get for advertising banner on the roof ?

  3. It’s funny how Brownstoner both lambastes brokers and at the same time takes their money (in the form of advertising).

Kinda makes you wonder, doesn’t it?

  4. I happen to know Deborah and while I think the market overall is nutty right now, she is an ethical person and a great broker – so hope she can avoid the potshots!

  5. This unit is not only stunningly beautiful, the location is absolutely perfect. It will fly off the shelf! Fly I tell you, fly Fly FLY!

Look, it’s flying already, soaring majestically above the BQE like a bald eagle. God Bless America!
