Not the prettiest, but could have been much worse. Interesting question about central air in new buildings. The answer is probably that installing window sleeves for Fedders a/c’s are much cheaper than installing central air.
Is red brick so much more, or any more expensive than this yellow brick? Does anyone know?
Victor is right, it’s not that bad, the windows are nice, and proportioned to the building as a whole. The front door really is rather atrocious, and I hope real a/c units replace the Fedders soon, not that that will be that attractive either, but what can you do?
It is one of the better Fedders buildings I’ve seen lately.
When building a house from scratch is central air that much more expensive?
On another note…with the plethora of “K-Fed” houses, I wonder if anyone has purchased the stock during the past 4-5 years? If the proliferation of houses is any indication, the company must be doing ok.
This one isn’t so bad. If it had some more details and higher ceilings on the parlour floor, this house would look decent. Well.. red brick wouldn’t have hurt either.
Overall though, a good result even with fedders boxes.

I like the windows…just get rid of the Fedders ads and the front door.
