The foundation is going in at 437 Herkimer Street, where the New York State Office of Mental Health and New York State Homes & Community Renewal are constructing a six-story, 52-unit complex for low-income families and others with mental health issues. The Bridge, as it is known, broke ground in December, despite some neighborhood opposition. You can see a rendering of what the building will look like here.
