Has anyone heard anything about the contruction that is taking place at One Montgomery Place in Park Slope? The garage next to One Montgomery Place was recently torn down. The NYC Dept of Buildings BIS indicates that all the apartments in the building are being renovated. The current rumor is that all the “apartments” will be used as Dr.’s offices, others rumors say that all the apartment will be sold as condos for residential use.
What do people hear?

I live on Montgomery Place and have photos of #1, which is under construction right now. Contact me if interested.
If you go to the following web site (the arch. on the 1 MP project) //www.bkskarch.com/bksk_home.asp
and then on the sites’ menu go to WORK then to RESIDENTIAL then to MULTI-FAMILY and then to 1 MONTGOMERY PLACE you will see how the project is intended to look at completion – looks pretty nice.
More information regarding this is in the LPC permit decision:

Can one of your neighbors snap a quick digital photo of the existing site for us and email us?
Thanks!
I live on Montgomery and had a cionversation with a gentleman who claimedto be an owner. He said they are going to be condo duplexes. Said Corcoran will represent.
Indeed I won’t!
Many thanks.

My girlfriend plus one other tenant were the last renters to leave that building. That was about a year ago. They had full run of the building for a good two years prior to that–empty apartments were used for wiffle ball, dance floors for the annual new years eve party, and hide and seek when the nephews came over. Every now and then someone would lock the empty apartments, but then we would climb out on the fire escape, crawl in the window and unlock them again. We also had access to a huge garden which wrapped around the building. And all this rent free for two years. The owner stopped taking care of the building so we stopped paying rent. Of course we had to pay to have the oil tank filled every now and then. Ahh, the memories. Anyway, last I heard they were turning the building into two triplex condos. I think they were also planning on adding an extension in the back of the building, which is why they knocked down the garage.
ah dude, you moved from mapquest to google maps. we’re so proud.
