Development Watch: 17 Bergen Street

When the dust settles (and the Stop Work Order is lifted), you’ll be looking at a 4-unit, 11,270-square-foot condo building. Kind of a strange mix of materials but we bet the interiors will be nice judging from the other things on the site. Any chatter in the neighborhood on this one? GMAP P*Shark DOB
That’s why you are not an Architect.
How is the roof-overhang non-complying?
(it does not appear to extend beyond building).
ANd what is on ‘outer court’?
Only thing I see is illegally parked car…not allowed to block sidewalk with parked car.
I especially like the non-complying roof overhang at the top and the illegal outer court at the front.
DOB are you out there??????????
the split column thang on top is cool
Looks decent to me. The orange brick will eventually fade in the dirty New York air… giving it that old puebla feeling.
I think this looks great. It’s a wide street, and there’s already a lot of variation between the houses and other buildings on the block, so it doesn’t break up some pre-existing pattern or anything. Keeps a little carriage house feel with the garage and the windows are nice and big. Nice job.
It’s not going to look exactly like the (damn) picture people. They never do.
i dunno. orange houses spice up all the brown and grey that dominates so much of brooklyn. must everything be the same?
Those colors are hideous. The exterior reminds me of the new construction junk you see in the Southwest and California. Uggh.
