There hasn’t been much discernible progress on the hotel coming to Seabring between Columbia and Richards in Red Hook over the past few months, but the sidewalk outside the development is in the midst of being spiffed up. Although the DOB OK’d an illuminated sign permit branding the place a Quality Inn in September, that’s still nowhere in sight. The only hotel competition near this is The Brooklyn Motor Inn.

It is nice to see that they are trying to put Red Hook back on the map. This area is actually the funnest area to ride a bike, as the streets are not to much traffic, it is reletivly flat streets, not too many people.The ikea plaza has the great piers into the water. yeah, cant wait till summer to go riding again.
now if they could just be one, just one subway stop, that would make it totally accessible…..hummm. but then again, maybe that isn’t such a good idea.
It is nice to know that our formerly marginal neighborhoods can now get the same style and quality of suburban strip development.
