Using street parking fees (or pretty much any other revenue source) to pay for improved mass transit is one thing. Turning the revenue over to the crooks and incompetents at the MTA, where it will disappear without any noticeable benefit to the riding public, is another.

who the hell actually thinks parking is a right and not a privilege in nyc? or that it should be? if i had my way people would have to pay massive fees for on street parking, and the proceeds would be used to pay for better mass transit…
