The interior demolition of the Albee Square Mall has been wrapped up for a few weeks now and the structure itself is now being dismantled. The mixed-use project, dubbed City Point, is slated to include 900,000 square feet of rental apartments, 500,000 square feet of retail and 125,000 square feet of Class A office space. The project was never intended to take advantage of 421-a so the looming deadline is a non-issue.

  2. Why are developers spending so much to build in this area? There is nothing here in the area for would-be rich folk moving in here. The only fine dining is a grey’s papaya or KFC. You can’t even come out of your apartment at night for fear of muggings or rapings from the local animals who dwell there.
