After a rough start last year, the Karl Fischer-designed building at 234 Greene Avenue in Clinton is looking like it’s about ready for prime time. The 13,500-square-foot building contains ten units; judging from that ratio, we’re guessing a lot of two-bedrooms in the mix. Anyone know who’s going to be marketing these?

  1. I thought people bought into the shoe factory. Also, this is one of the ugliest blocks in the neighborhood. I mean this is Greenpoint fugly, Williamsburg-Red Hook hideous! So, this is a huge step forward.

  2. i lived across from the parking lot this used to be for many years, i think it’s nice to see something filling up the space there. yeah it ain’t a neo-gothic-revival-whatever, but if you are familiar with the block you will know that there’s an old-folks home across the street that sports soulless design and street-facing parking, so this is hardly a step down.

now if they can just get somebody to move in, there or the ‘shoe factory’ or the other building down the block nobody wants to live in.

No one who wishes to save their soul can look at that portal-of-horror building without trembling and shaking to their very foundations. Something this twisted and grotesque will leave you altered, changed, unable to truly feel right in this world again. Do not gaze upon it if you wish to remain right!

I don’t live anywhere near it.
