After a rough start last year, the Karl Fischer-designed building at 234 Greene Avenue in Clinton is looking like it’s about ready for prime time. The 13,500-square-foot building contains ten units; judging from that ratio, we’re guessing a lot of two-bedrooms in the mix. Anyone know who’s going to be marketing these?

  1. Folks have bought into the Shoe Factory (myself being one of them). STILL waiting in the tax lot paperwork. We signed the contract in February. I believe all the units have been sold. Just waiting to move in….some day.

Not thrilled about the look of this new building, but hardly shocked given all the other crap going up.

  2. The problem isn’t that it’s modern, which I like to see as it’s refreshing, it’s the clashing colors of the facade next to those other facades. And it’s jutting out too far past the sides of the other buildings. It’s like this architect designed the thing without ever having visited the site. Like someone just sent him the dimensions of the lot and that’s it.

  3. This looks pretty awful to me -and it is not even finished. usually new buildings look a little better before they are completely finished. there’s no hope for this one.
