butternut-market-052510.jpgAccording to the last month’s Community Board 2 minutes, the Downtown Brooklyn Partnership has applied for a $500,000 grant from the New York State Main Street Program to aid in the rehab of nine properties. The properties in question are 2 Dekalb, the rear of 551 and 557 Fulton, 575 and 581 Fulton, 2-4 Nevins (pictured), and 1, 30, and 60-62 Flatbush. The Myrtle Avenue Revitalization Project Local Development Corporation is also looking for funding through the same program, although no specific Myrtle Ave. businesses were named in the minutes. In other revitalization news, the Pratt Area Community Council wants to fund the interior reno of the four-story commercial building at 1057 Fulton Street, between Irving and Classon. All requests were supported by CB2’s board.
