Has the pier been approved? NYSDEC is notoriously tough on new construction in/above the East River. Levin may be right to criticize this deal but it will really be a howler if the developers use the bonus and then shrug their shoulders, ‘Sorry; we were prepared to build the pier by DEC wouldn’t let us.’
Just a matter of time before North Greenpoint becomes Williamsburg II.
