DeLepp- I believe it. I’m one of them- but i was well on my way a few years ago to having a lot of money saved for my retirement. Then life happened. Big time and it was gone. I don’t live beyond my means – never have- I try to be careful, I don’t have 150 credit cards, l paid my taxes, worked really really hard- but I went through an awful divorce and 2 catastrophic emergency hospital stays. They wiped me out. We can all plan- but life still has this awful tendency to rise up and bite you. I don’t believe in entitlements- I do believe in supporting those who are vulnerable. There really has to be a better way to be practical and compassionate at the same time but this country is not in the mood for it, it seems.

Regarding the rich guys and the eminint domean “illegal” appropriation of property and all the so called “abuses”….
If I’m not mistaken, all of these were brought before the courts. Ratner, et al didn’t have the courts in their pockets too. If you beleive that he did i have some extra foil for your hat and windows.
The courts were the final arbiter and they ruled on the projects legality time and time again.
