Crafts store Michaels, TD Bank and Blink Fitness are the tenants so far, as reported previously. Renaissance Realty Group is the developer and SBLM Architects is the designer.
After years of no action, the foundation was dug in December and the frame started rising in January. This site has been a long time in development — we reported back in 2007 that it was going to be an apartment building!

This used to be my service station and car repair shop. I miss Lou and the guys. I didn’t need a mini-mall.
Its been a junk yard for so long anything is an improvement. But if they had asked what the hood really needed and what would do well is a new Fairway or any normal grocery store even a mini Target. We don’t need another bar restaurant, useless clothing store, or for that matter an overpriced condo. A Food store! Walgreens closed, Met closed, Trader Joes is a ZOO, and that dirty grocer at 169 Atlantic Ave, Key should be closed. I don’t wish Blink or Michaels bad luck but really you might last 3 years in that location.
Should be apts. This is a waste of space.
