Addition at 527 6th Avenue
[nggallery id=”48790″ template=galleryview] A reader sent in this picture of a new addition to the brownstone at 527 6th Avenue in the South Slope. It’s not done yet, but how do you think it’s looking so far? Clearly the proportions work better than 288 7th Street. GMAP

mmm yummy. i love a mansard roof!
So do you think they got a whole ‘nother full floor out of the space…probably
not as high ceilings as the rest?
not a fan of the child window safety guards… definitely destroy the historical feel
*rob*
a responsible owner for keeping with the architectural integrity of the neighborhood. i like it
That is my only small complaint as well, Bxgrl. Those windows could have been about 6 inches longer.
Otherwise, it’s an extremely handsome building, in my opinion.
Is this within the landmark district?
11217- you’re right. Looks beautiful. I wish the 2nd story windows were bigger but the building looks very nice.
Sorry, they all look retarded.
In this photo, it looks pretty awesome. Like a mansard roof with a bay window. How historical.
freaking NICE!!!!!! wonder how much that cost
