Not much has happened at 840 Bergen since it flew up back in 2008. When we last checked up on it in early 2009, it looks like it was nearly done. For the past couple of years, though, it’s just sat there, presumably as a result of some financing issues. The property hasn’t changed hands recently, though, and the other day we saw a few guys working on both the exterior and interior. Hopefully this is a sign that the developers are getting ready to bring the 67-unit project to market. The big question is what kind of appeal apartments on this block between Classon and Grand will have for buyers (or will it be renters?). The area’s definitely seeing growth but other nearby developments have struggled to sell at market rate.

  1. definitely rental building, rental company name prime quarters already marketing the apts, committing to a move in date that they cant deliver and wasting people’s time not talking about taking their deposit money.

  2. These are rentals and it would appear they have starting leasing, but don;t think anyone will be moving in until Feb or March. I noticed a few ads on Craigslist by myspacenyc located on Franklin Ave. Does anyone know more?
