Here’s a shot of the the development at 342 Bedford at South 3rd Street in Williamsburg. The Developers Group has their banner up on the side of the building but still no mention on their website. As we’ve mentioned before, this place has nothing special to recommend it, but for some reason we like the fact that they mixed it up a little when picking brick color. It reminds us a bit of some of those postwar apartment buildings on the Upper East Side with funny brick colors. There was one on Madison and 64th or 65th that caused a tempest in a tea pot a few months ago when it decided to change its blue(?) bricks to red, wasn’t there?

these units could easily trade down 20-30% in a couple of years after the inevitable burst.
No, that dude is right. Those are holes for Fedder’s AC units. Ugh, what a piece of crap building!
Standing alone without context of rest of street doesn’t look bad. But – those ‘FEDDERS’ a/c covers have yet to adorn the structure.
What is it with those things anyway? For the price of these condos – what could it cost to do a little better with the a/c. How can a builder have pride in their building and then cover side with ‘FEDDERS’?
I don’t understand why the new developments in Williamsburg (south of Metropolitan, but north of the bridge) are so damn ugly. Look at this thing. It’s like a pile of boxes with tiny, ornamental terraces hanging off at the sides. And this area is still a little rough around the edges. I don’t think 500k is a good investment here.
What I really want to know is when those two giant artist warehouses at Roebling and Grand are going to get converted into condos.
$545K for a 1br. I am sure they’ll be nice. Pricey however. And I bet, based on the way all the new developments are going, they wont be ready to close for another 12 months.
