Conversion on the Horizon for North 8th Building?

Something interesting may be afoot at 248 North 8th Street, between Roebling and Havemeyer: Last month a permit went through approving a commercial-to-residential conversion. It appears that a conversion was first approved back in 2009 for 22 units in the one-story building, but plans must have stalled. When we talked to a rep from the architect listed, Michael Muroff, they said the plans were still on hold and no renderings were available. Has anyone heard work starting up there? GMAP
