Wine Store for the Northside
211 North 11th Street, right across the street from Warehouse 11, will be the new home to “The Natural Wine Company.” There isn’t much info on the Facebook page, except that they hope to be open by Thanksgiving. Nice news if you live over there, for sure. GMAP

There is also Brooklyn Oenology in the Mill Building (NY wines only, they had an industry party tonight). I haven’t tried the NSP store, and the Edge one was still stocking the shelves when I went by. So far, Uva is holding up on price and selection (though the best prices are at BQE on Meeker Avenue).
How many of these places sell liquor in addition to wine? (Uva barely counts in that regard – limited selection of generally pricey spirits.)
That new wine store Red White and Green on Kent sucks. Uva is a much more intelligent store and will always have my support.

Seriously! New wine stores also opened up in The Edge and NSP 1 within the last month or so.
Hope they do well, but I still find myself going to Uva on Bedford Ave for wine rather than any of these new places closer to my crib. I would imagine it’s the same for other people as well.
