Fort Greene Garden Walk
Brownstone Brooklyn Garden District presents its 12th Annual Garden Walk. The self-guided walk includes 10 private gardens, 3 community gardens, and a commercial rooftop, featuring a hydroponic garden, a beehive, and a chicken coop. Additional stops on the tour include Irondale Theatre and GreenSpaces where green graffiti artist Edina Tokadi has created indoor and outdoor installations with sedum and wheatgrass. Victorian Flatbush House Tour
Thankfully, the Victorian Flatbush House Tour found 10 houses. On this self-guided tour, stroll the streets of the neighborhood of Flatbush, home to five NYC Historic Districts, and tour the interiors of 10 homes, each lovingly preserved and restored.
Sunday, June 14. 1-6 p.m. $20; $25 day of tour. Tour starts at Landmark Temple Beth Emeth, 83 Marlborough Road.
Brooklyn Flea
This week, the Brooklyn Flea takes place outdoors in Ft. Greene on Saturday and opens up its Brooklyn Bridge location on Sunday. Both locations feature a great mix of vintage, antiques, jewelry, and food.

Brooklyn Pride Festival
Brooklyn Pride’s celebration kicks off with a 5k race in the morning, a multicultural festival in the afternoon, and ends with a “Night Pride Parade.” The parade begins at 8:30 p.m. at Prospect Park West and 15th Street.
Saturday, June 13. Festival starts at 11 a.m. Prospect Park West from 15th Street to 9th Street.
Crest Hardware Art Show
The Crest Hardware Art Show is over 7,500 square feet of works by 100+ artists. There will be live music, DJs, food, drinks, plus art and design vendors. All proceeds benefit Macri Park (located at the corner of Metropolitan and Union Avenue in Williamsburg).
Saturday, June 13. 12 p.m. Festivities are at Macri Park and Crest Hardware (558 Metropolitan Avenue).
Northside Festival
The Northside Festival started yesterday and continues through the weekend. The festival features four days of music and art in Brooklyn. Check out the schedule for activities.

100 Bumble Bees over the Williamsburg Bridge
To raise money for Imani House adult literacy program, 100 bumble bees will ride over the Williamsburg Bridge. Come decked out in a bumble bee costume, along with your bike and helmet.
Saturday, June 13. 4 p.m. Suggested donation of $5. Meet at the Manhattan entrance of the Williamsburg Bridge.
Hattie Carthan International Food Festival
The Hattie Carthan Community Garden is having an international food festival. The theme is “Many cultures working as one community.” There will be live music, local gardeners, community cooks, and food justice activists. All foods are prepared by garden members and some foods have been harvested from the garden.

Gallery Opening of “Sex Cells”
3rd Ward asked artists to redefine their cell phones in the nationwide open call, Sex Cells. In conjunction with the Northside Festival, 3rd Ward reveals the submissions with a show of provocative photos, videos, and texts. Enjoy complimentary drinks, DJ Alden F. Fonda, and a special performance from Unicornicopia.

PortSide NewYork Fundraiser
Support PortSide NewYork as they prepare for their new home. The event includes a generous array of cheese, stuffed grape leaves, hummus, fruit, breads, key lime pie, beer, and wine. A large format multimedia installation of images and sounds from PortSide and the harbor will bring the waterfront inside. You can buy your tickets here.

Fellow Brownstoner fans, our next big gathering will be on Wednesday, June 17 at Rope, Inc. in Clinton Hill at 415 Myrtle Avenue (between Vanderbilt Ave & Clinton Ave).
We will start around 6pm, but please feel free to drop in whenever you can. We plan on being there for at least a few hours.
