Brooklyn Day Care Fair
Council Member Letitia James and Council Member Bill de Blasio are hosting this event. Go to the fair to learn about local child care options for your child. At the fair will be on-site enrollment for child care centers through the Administration for Children’s Services. There will also be door prizes for all.

Green-Wood Cemetery Trolley Tour
Green-Wood Cemetery hosts a guided trolley tour with Alexandra Kathryn Mosca, author of Images of America: Green-Wood Cemetery. A question-and-answer session and book signing follow the tour in Green-Wood’s Historic Chapel. Refreshments will be served. Call 718-768-7300 for reservations.

The Pleasures of Food: Holiday Baking
Melissa Murphy, chef and co-owner of Cobble Hill’s Sweet Melissa Patisserie, discusses holiday baking. She is the author of The Sweet Melissa Baking Book and has written numerous articles for magazines. There will be a tasting, demo, and audience participation.

Danish Fair
The Danish Seamen’s Church will host its annual holiday season fair. The fair will be held at two locations: Danish Seamen’s Church at 102 Willow Street and Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church at 125 Henry Street.

Exhibition Opening Party for Alois NebelMy Life
This event is an exhibition opening party for the Czech authors of a graphic novel that was recently published titled Alois NebelMy Life. Work from the graphic novel will be on display and the authors who are also musicians will play. Free beer will be served.

  1. Went to the “Day Care Fair” today. Unfortunately it was really just “Day Care options for low income families” No of the presenters had even the slightest info on finding day care if you are not on public assistance. If you are on public assistance – it seems there is a plethora of daycare/pre-school options at your disposal.

    Anyone know of any resources where you can find day care options for people not making under $32K a year?
