Washington Avenue Street Festival For Foodies, Fashionistas, & Families
New Yorkers can get a real taste of Brooklyn at the second annual Wash Ave Rocks! Street Fair hosted by the Washington Avenue – Prospect Heights Association (WAPHA) . Washington Avenue between St. Marks Ave. and Prospect Pl will come alive with local art, flavors, and families. Brooklyn based food bloggers will give the scoop on the best food in Prospect Heights, a fashion show will feature Brooklyn-based models, and organizations such as Brooklyn Museum, LaunchPad and Brooklyn Children’s Museum will welcome foodies, fashionistas, and friends to the hip neighborhood. On Saturday, August 20th, from 12-6pm. Washington Avenue between St. Marks Ave. and Prospect Place.
Church Ave BID’s Graffiti Clean-Up Event
Last weekend’s Church Avenue Cleanup was postponed due to the heat! So come out THIS Saturday to remove graffiti from storefronts and other buildings. Volunteers from the 70th Precinct’s Explorers Program, merchants, and residents will be picking up brushes and rollers to help paint over graffiti along Church Avenue from Coney Island Avenue to Flatbush Avenue. The clean up will be followed by a volunteer thank you lunch on the grounds of the Flatbush Reformed Church. Brooklyn Flea + Smorgasburg
The Flea features hundreds of top vendors of antique and repurposed furniture, vintage clothing, collectibles and antiques, as well as a tightly curated selection of jewelry, art, and crafts by local artisans and designers, plus delicious fresh food. Brooklyn Waterfront Epic Ride!
