Brooklyn Int’l Film Festival (BiFF) is proud to announce its 13th annual festival themed “Stunt”. The festival has received over 2,400 films from 92 countries. The competitive event will run from June 4 – 13 at both indieScreen, a brand new space in Williamsburg, Brooklyn and Brooklyn Heights Cinema in Brooklyn Heights. BiFF will award the winners with prizes totaling over $50,000 in film services, products, and cash. Along with its first screening tomorrow, there will be an afterparty at The powerHouse Arena. Jazz: Brooklyn’s Beat
The month-long celebration features jazz performances at six of Brooklyn’s most cherished cultural institutions, with something for jazz lovers of all ages. This Saturday starts off the celebration and Samba New York will be performing. All events are family-friendly and free, or free with admission. Saturday, June 5. 12 p.m. Free with Admission. The Brooklyn Flea
The Flea is located not only at the former bank at One Hanson, but also at the Fort Greene market. On Saturdays, the market will be located at the Fort Greene location and on Sundays you can find the market at One Hanson which is located at the clocktower Art Deco building at Flatbush Ave., across from the Target mall. The Flea features 100 vendors and a great mix of vintage, antiques, jewelry, and food. First Day of FABFest
Every Sunday in June, the Fulton BID in Fort Greene and Clinton Hill will host a street party along the neighborhoods’ main commercial corridor. This Sunday, there will be a salsa dance party, a fashion show and a clothing swap. Sunday, June 6, 12-6 pm. @ Fulton and Lafayette.

‘The Emperor’s New…MONSTERS!’
Written and conceived by Daniel John Kelley, this 4th episode of the epic children’s theatrical series, Monster Literature, brings you ‘The Emperor’s New…Monsters!’ Running time: 35 minutes. Bushwick Open Studios and Art Festival
Now in its fourth year, BOS ’10 includes over 275 individual studios, shows and events involving more than 500 artists in over 140 locations. This free annual festival invites visual artists, performers, musicians, designers and the public to celebrate creative expression together in the one of the most vital arts districts in New York City. Bushwick Open Studios takes place over 3 square miles, including parts of East Williamsburg, Bedford-Stuyvesant and Ridgewood. To unite the area, Informational hubs close to subway and bus lines will provide maps, promotional materials and information about studios and activities. 7th Annual Atlantic Avenue Artwalk
This event will showcase over 200 artists in an interactive and participatory celebration of art and live music along Brooklyn’s Atlantic Avenue. This is a rare opportunity for people to visit artists’ personal workspaces, offering sneak peeks at innovative new works in progress, and to meet and greet with artists. All are welcome to attend. 17th Annual Red Hook Fest
Come to the 17th Annual Red Hook Fest this Friday and Saturday to enjoy community resources such as, health services information, job training programs, and others from over a dozen local non-profits. People can also enjoy kayak rides in New York Harbor, face-painting, art projects, and more! Friday & Saturday, June 4 & 5. Community Garden Visioning Meetings
Sustainable Flatbush is partnering with the Flatbush Reformed Church to create a new community garden! The whole community is invited to be involved in the planning and care of this neighborhood green space. At these brainstorming sessions community members will visit the garden area, located on church grounds, and work collaboratively to envision this new public green space: what can be grown, how to best utilize the space, how the garden will be built and maintained, what to name the garden, and how to be a part of it! “Make Up The Difference” – Stoop Sale
15 Park Slope blocks will be having stoop sales to raise money for PS 321. The effort is part of a campaign called “Make Up The Difference” which was launched this week by the school’s PTA in response to the expected DOE budget cuts. Come browse for furniture, art, collectibles, toys and other treasures or seek refreshment from the lemonade and brownie stalls that will be participating too. All money taken goes directly to enrichment for the children at the school. Saturday & Sunday, June 5 & 6. Starts at 9 a.m. Free. Park Slope.
