Big Movies for Little Kids
The season premiere of Big Movies for Little Kids starts Monday. Modern Times, a Charlie Chaplin film, will be the first of many screenings at Cobble Hill Cinemas. Every other Monday, during the school year, a film is screened. The movies chosen are appropriate for kids that are older than two. To purchase tickets ahead of time, you can go to the Cobble Hill Cinemas site. Monday, September 21. 4 p.m. 265 Court Street, Cobble Hill Cinemas.
A Taste of Red Hook
All of the proceeds from the evening will go to the Red Hook Initiative (RHI) , a community-based organization that is run by more than 50 residents of the Red Hook Houses who are working to create their own social change. Tickets are $100 which includes a sampling of signature dishes from several amazing Red Hook restaurants such as The Good Fork, Baked, Kevin’s, Brooklyn Botanica, Home/Made, Hope & Anchor, Defontes, Fort Defiance, and Fernando Martinez, a neighborhood favorite vendor from the Red Hook soccer fields.
