Atlantic Yards Informational Meeting
An informational meeting will be held by The Fort Greene Association and the Council of Brooklyn Neighborhoods. This might be the last effort at voicing your opinions about the Atlantic Yards. All are welcome to do so. Thursday, August 6. 7:30 p.m. – 9 p.m. 85 South Oxford (second floor), Irondale Theater Project.
Meeting for BayFest 2010
The first meeting for BayFest 2010, organized by the Bay Improvement Group, will take place this coming Tuesday. This year, they are trying to get serious headliners to play (Bruce Springsteen was mentioned). To get involved and help create the biggest and baddest BayFest celebration for Sheepshead Bay, come and join everyone at the meeting. Tuesday, August 4. 7:30 p.m. 3867 Shore Pkwy, Golden Gate Inn.

National Night Out Against Crime
This year’s 72nd Precinct’s National Night Out Against Crime will feature a healthy share of parades, food, treats, rides and games. The events are free of charge and there are often giveaways available. Come and enjoy. Tuesday, August 4. 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. 44th and 6th Avenue, Sunset Park.
Twilight Tour

Too bad the notice wasn’t posted last week, day of is really too late. Weeksville is a great cultural institution.
I’m amazed those Weeksville houses survived the growth of the city. Glad they did though.
