Under The Tree is the latest show by Suspended Cirque, New York City’s only Aerial Theater company. The story begins under the tree, the toys begin to come to life, the performance uses all parts of the venue as performance space the stage, the aisles, among the seats, and over the audience’s heads. While sipping cocktails, the audience literally gets swallowed by the show. This ability to perform all around the audience is unique to the Galapagos Art Space and makes for a unique and intimate New York experience. Wednesday & Thursday, December 22 & 23. Dar and Matey’s Christmas SpectaculARGH!
Adventure! Daring! Romance! Pirates Dar and Matey brave the North Pole to rescue their friend, Professor Genius, from the torturous clutches of Old St. Nick, that bastard. Allying with an Eskimo Princess they fight their way through polar bears, the evil sidekick Tiny Tim, and finally, Santa Claus! A throw back to the Golden Age of Drama, where Pirates were Men, Bears were Women, and the Baddies were BAD. Prepare for some Yule Tide YEARGH! Crow Hill Community Association Meeting
The CHCA will be holding their monthly meeting this Tuesday. The meeting will include taking nominations for the 2011 Board of Directors. Only current members may participate in the nomination/election process. To serve on the Board of Directors, one must be a member and have been active in the Association for a year. Chess Club Meeting
The Brooklyn Public Library Carroll Gardens Branch, located on the corner of Clinton and Union Street, started a chess club.
