Movie Night

Come and watch the film “Battle of Algiers” this Wednesday. This 1966 war film is based on the occurrences during the Algerian War (195462) against French colonial rule in North Africa, the most prominent being the Battle of Algiers. Chess Club Meeting
A few weeks ago the Brooklyn Public Library Carroll Gardens Branch, located on the corner of Clinton and Union Street, started a chess club. Every Wednesday night you can go get your chess on with National Chess Master, Manuel Ugarte. All are welcome! In the mood to be entertained while helping out a cause? Join entertainers such as Walter Schreifels, Palomar, Melody Lanes All-Stars, Todd Barry, Dave Hill as they all do their thang to help out the Future of Music Coalition. Future of Music Coalition is a national nonprofit organization that works to ensure a diverse musical culture where artists flourish, are compensated fairly for their work, and where fans can find the music they want.
