The ROMEOWS
The ROMEOWS, Retired Older Men Eating Out Wednesdays is a testament to the life-changing, life-giving power of friendship. The film follows a group of Brooklyn College graduates, Class of 1959, who meet for dinner every Wednesday. Five decades later, these monumental everymen view the world with humor, melancholy, and hope. Older people are living longer, using Viagra, running marathons, flying planes and safely ditching them in The Hudson. Pull up a chair with this Band of Brooklyn Buddies as they break bread and each other’s chops, discussing everything from old flames to healthcare, from match.com to the demise of The Mets. Monday, November 1. 4 p.m. $5. Walt Whitman Theatre, The Brooklyn Center for the Performing Arts.
