  1. Did anyone read the Gerritsen Beach blog reporting (as pointed out in the article) on the teen thugs who terrorized the community on Halloween? That blog rocks. They posted photos of the kids and some of their pages from Facebook, and refused to take down the pictures when parents who failed to keep track of whatever their miscreant teens were doing that day demanded it. Of course one can’t help but think how different the police reaction (fyi, total lack of police attention) would have been were the kids black. Make special note the blog states Halloween is “always bad” in Gerritsen Beach. And yet I’m sure the uniformly white homeowners there all shake their heads tsk tsk tsk at we crazy people who own brownstones in more diverse parts of Brooklyn. Um yeah, whatever.

  2. Re: Housing in Brooklyn is All About Location [Brooklyn Ink]

True indeed. Brooklyn housing (particularly the brownstone belt) is located right accross the river from insolvent, time bomb ticking, mark-to-fantasy book carrying, fraud infested, litigation targeted and all 50 state AG’s investigated banks and financial giants.

Most of you have no idea what’s coming to our location. Hell’s coming.

  3. that Brooklyn Ink piece about location is confusing as the author doesn’t stipulate the difference btwn closed sales and asking prices as indicators of pricing trends. Also, not so sure Trulia is the best site to be using for Brooklyn market data. The few times I have used it to do so comp searches it has been way off.

  4. The people have sent a clear message to Washington. Let’s hope those we newly elected get to work on what matters.
