The proper way to cook a lobster is to put it into the water and then bring it to a boil.
I know the animal rights activists dont want to hear that, but throwing lobster into boiling water “Shocks” the meat and causes it to harden.
“bloods targeting junior high school for local hooker ring” . ugh, totally f’ing disgusting.
*rob*
tentacles?
that was an octopus.
Textpert… you can always stab it in the neck with a huge chef’s knife. Wriggling will stop pretty quick. Then toss it in the pot. The shell allows you to avoid touching any ‘raw meat’
“Fish Tales on Court St. sells live lobsters”
um and what would you like me to do with a live lobster??
I can’t stand looking at and touching raw meat, you think I’m going to pick up a live lobster, still moving it’s tentacles and wriggling it’s body and toss it into a pot of boiling water!?!?!?
NO Thank you!
Cook it up for me, garnish the plate and serve it to me….When I see it plated with a fork and knife next to it I forget it was a living thing.
No Cobble, I’ve only been to Montauk once a few years ago and the Hamptons (South and East) a few times and have vowed never ever to go back!
The traffic getting out there is a killer.
I usually just want the lobster and not any ‘stuff’ on it, except melted butter. But a nice lobster salad can be great, if it’s the nice chunky stuff not the little bits of ‘shred’ waved over the plate, if you know what I mean.
Fish Tales on Court St. sells live lobsters and, most likely, cooked lobster meat as well.
You’re welcome! I don’t think I have either!
Have you ever been to: http://duryealobsters.com/menu.html in Montauk?
