  1. In the Brooklyn Papers article about the Brooklyn Bridge Park, it’s interesting to note that of all the neighborhood groups now decrying the plan, none of them have more at stake than the Brooklyn Heights Association, which is noticeably absent from this latest round of outcry. As a member of the BHA and someone who has been closely following the rollout of the BBPDC Plan to the public, I have to say to Murray Adams and others, “Where have you been for the past two months?”

There have been numerous events at which the Plan was presented and discussed that have been open to the public, including one at St. Ann’s Warehouse about a month ago that I attended. The architects and planners were present and spent three hours answering questions and listening to the concerns of the community.

Nancy Bowe, president of the BHA, has communicated to the membership all of the Association’s happiness and concerns with the Plan, and it’s safe to say that except for a few details to work out, the BHA is cautiously supportive of the BBPDC’s work thus far.

So it’s time for Murray Adams and the other neighborhood grouops to get in board so we can get this park built!
