Over the summer we revealed the new Cellars tenants to you. In case you forgot, the owners of the popular Abistro a few blocks away are expanding to the former bar at the corner of Vanderbilt and Dekalb Avenues. They’ve been making progress, too: A few weeks ago CB2 threw its support for behind the liquor license application for the new space. The 66-seat restaurant, which will be open for both lunch and dinner seven days a week, could open as soon as next month. We’re told the food will stick very close to Abistro’s original menu, with a few added specials. Yum.

yikes davide5.
i mean, abistro is shabby in a loveable way. this is just fug.
Don’t count on it…went to the auction for the lease and the owners (at that time) were adamant about no exterior renovations.
PRETTY please? With Sugar on top? That exterior has to be one of Brooklyn’s ugliest.
PLEASE do something to the exterior.
A welcomed addition to the neighborhood. I’m glad abistro isn’t just relocating to a larger space.
I remember going into Cellars for a buffet brunch of soul food back in the late 80s. It was one of the few restaurants in the area.
The new polish place on Myrtle and Hall had an open sign in the window this weekend although I didn’t see anyone in there.
