Thanksgiving at Bed Stuy's Scratchbread

We reported earlier today in our Food and Drink Roundup that SCRATCHbread would open its window today until 5pm with a Thanksgiving menu. Then the store will be running more regularly starting December 1st, every Wednesday from 1 to 5pm. We’ve been anxiously waiting for the spot to open up, so we checked it out ourselves. The small, unassuming window around the corner on Lexington had a little crowd waiting for bread. Other items on the menu included brownies, stuffing, shortbread, and bread crumbs. It felt – and smelled – like the beginnings of Thanksgiving! The store is still trying to raise money via Kickstarter.
