Two Apartment Buildings Rising Near Cook Mansion in Bushwick

Two similar looking apartment buildings are rising on two lots owned by the same company on Bushwick Avenue near the Cook mansion between Willoughby Avenue and Suydam Street. The building at 682 Bushwick Avenue, at the corner of Suydam Street, will have four stories, according to the drawing posted on the fence. The one at 924 Willoughby Avenue, at the corner of Bushwick Avenue, pictured above, will have five stories, according to the schematic on the fence. However, the actual building appears to be four stories tall.

Both fence postings show the same address (682 Bushwick Avenue), owner, and contractor for both buildings. The DOB shows a permit for 682 Bushwick Avenue that specifies four stories and 23 apartments. There are no permits listed for 924 Willoughby Avenue, although there is a stop work order posted on the fence there. Click through to the jump for more photos and the schematics.
