  1. Meh, I don’t like his writing anyway.

Been to the French place. Great pastries and bread…can’t keep up with his weird hours. Every time I decide to go there, he’s closed.

  2. Latham is leaving Brooklyn, folks. It’s all over. This is the beginning of the end.

But while we’re waiting, has anyone been to the French bakery on Tompkins and Patchen, La Table Exquise? It’s world class! Chewy, gooey
Meringues — just throw on some whipped cream and berries and it’s a party.

  4. That’s backward looking, DIBS. Our GDP is borrowed and there’s no investment going on in the markets, just HFT by machines. Morgan Stanley and other firms are going to be laying off after X-mas. Volume is paper thin.

Today, FedEx, Delta Airlines (largest US carrier for cargo) and Li & Fung (google them…largets supplier from China to US retail) all said that Christmas season orders were well above plan and last year.

Additionally, Toys R Us announced hiring more people than expected and than last year.

  6. Actually, slopefarm, I was thinking more on the lines of the Titanic. Brownstones not built for hydrostatic forces neither.
