  1. the death of the pregnant lady -and her baby- due to the heartless inaction of EMT workers on coffee break fills me with dread as a Brooklyn resident. If I am in an emergency maybe I will fall in the hands of sadistic downtown brooklyn EMT workers as well. There is a certain depravity in Brooklyn that is scary. One sees it at the post offices and sometimes in cops. It’s not a good thing.

  2. theft from employees is pretty big share of ‘shrinkage’ as I think retailers call it.
I remember working at a ‘Army&Navy’ store and some employees was tossing out from upstairs storage windows down to alley some of the goods. Others would hide their stash in dropped ceiling.

  3. “a Christmas shopper at Target tried to walk out without paying for any of her gifts. It turns out that the shoplifter was an employee at the upscale discount emporium who was just getting off her shift at 7:30 pm, cops said. She tried to get away with something for everyone — $1,167 worth of goods that included toys, makeup, DVDs and baby clothes.”

I guess she’s out of the running for “Employee of the Month”.
