That ACORN prank was hilarious and brilliant.
I think another good prank would be to convince some NPR or TV host, the kind of spends 45 seconds at the end of programming to tell you how you can get a copy of the program, to believe there is some society at a mid-level college dedicated to collecting their shows. It would have worked a lot better before the Internet, but still, I always thought that was an Achilles heel – the endless shilling of their programs by hosts. F*ing liberals!
but Rob claims to not make much money and rents….What deductions? especially on state tax forms. I take standard deduction on state forms.
Rob, check on the online software. But the extra money you save in a Roth IRA.
Rob, you don’t want a cheap accountant, you want a good accountant. The money you pay them is more than made up by the money they will save you by getting all of the legit deductions you are eligible for, no matter how much penalty you end up paying for being late. Cheap accountants are cheap for a reason.
UGH i completely forgot that i still have to do my 2003 and 2004 state taxes… i must get thee to a cheap accountant this week. anyone have any suggestions?

Kens, I’ve been doing tax evasion practices all my life. That’s what they teah you at MBA school. 🙂
yes, It can get you down to see the dedication of gov’t service undone and thwarted by the increasing corporate interests and corporate welfare that has taken over all levels of gov’t. Kinda like computer viruses and worms…all that corp money.
But occasonally we are able to run the anti-virus and purge a bit of it.
It takes a strong will and fortitude to work in that environment and not end up killing oneself. Not everyone is that strong. 🙂
Dave, if you would have gone to work for the State, if could be you now giving advice to pimps and hos on how to get affordable housing and tax ivasion practices. Look how much you could have achieved and you chose to do Hedge Funds instead.
can someone explain in a nutshell (lol) what the acorn program is about?

Both scenarios would be equally likely, bxgrl.
