  1. First of all, while it’s not a bad block, it’s not Stuyvesant Heights. I passed by the house and had the realtors lengthly prospectus, but opted not to see the inside. I think they started out at about mid 800s if I recall.

  2. “The property contains four two-bedroom apartments”
So we’re talking about a lot of work to make this into a one or two family. And who knows the condition of those 4 apartments. Seller could easily drain 100-200K on the reno.

  3. Agreed DOW…I didn’t understand the newsworthiness of the Brooklyn Eagle story that a house had sold in Stuy Heights either. The writer apparently couldn’t muster up enough intelligence to analyze the sale before writing the ridiculous article.

That said, nothing sells for $207 psf!!!!!

  4. “townhouses were going for <400k around 2001 in Stuyvesant Heights”

I’d say that’s the direction we’re headed. Not exactly 400k but somewhere between Bed Stuy proper (500k) and Clinton Hill (750k). Say 625k. So, all in all, 675k was not a bad price. Babs got took.

  5. I know that I have been living in JC for a bit but 675k was a really good deal for this place, right? Has anyone been in this place? Was it a mess inside? The exterior looks great.

I still see listings over 1 million in Bed Stuy which seems crazy since I remember when townhouses were going for <400k around 2001 in Stuyvesant Heights.
