LPC Hearing
The Landmarks Preservation Commission holds a public hearing today, Tuesday, June 12. The second research item on the agenda, pertaining to Greenpoint’s Eberhard Faber Pencil factory, is being proposed for re-calendaring. Tuesday, 9:30 a.m., 9th floor Conference Room at 1 Centre Street, Manhattan.

CB1 Vote on Quadriad Project
Less than a week after the land use committee voted 10-9 to approve Quadriad’s request to triple the size of its North 3rd Street project in Williamsburg, the full Community Board will weigh in tonight at 6:30 PM at the Swinging 60’s Senior Citizen Center, which is lcoated at 211 Ainslie Street. Expect a big turn-out from community members who oppose the project.

Cadman Plaza Ribbon Cutting
Join Council Member David Yassky, Parks Commissioner Benepe, and Brooklyn Borough Commissioner Julius Spiegel for the grand opening of Cadman Plaza. The ceremony takes place today at 11:00 a.m. on the Tillary end of Cadman Plaza.

The Brownstone Revival Coalition hosts its free 20th annual Brownstone market seminar. Architect and townhouse owner Paul Gleicher talks about economical, energy-saving, and environmentally-friendly architecture in “‘Green’ Design and Your Townhouse.” Tuesday, 7:00 p.m. to 9 p.m., The Dorot, 171 West 85th Street.
