NY Philharmonic in Prospect Park
Tonight, the New York Philharmonic, under conductor Ludovic Morlot, presents a free concert in Prospect Park. Part of the orchestra’s 43rd annual Concerts in the Parks series, the performance will feature works by Berlioz, Mendelssohn, and Tchaikovsky. Fireworks are to follow. 8:00 p.m. Long Meadow Ballfield in Prospect Park. Enter at Prospect Park West and Ninth Street or Bartel-Pritchard Square. (212) 875-5709.

Tiny Cup Opening
Tiny Cup, a new Bed Stuy coffee house (that we wrote about here), has its grand opening today. It’s located on the corner of Nostrand Avenue and Clifton Place.

    We brought along our donation for the food bank, enjoyed the superb concert,
    joyful atmosphere, and afterwards, fireworks that took everyone’s breath away!
