As the second poster on McBrooklyn noted, there was a sign indicating, by name, that another religious books, etc. store was coming. Like that poster, I did not note the name.
goldie, I don’t think you realize just how many people attend services at the Brooklyn Tabernacle every week.
i’ve got to imagine the brownstone area of bklyn ranks very low in active religious involvement (reading books, buying xtian tchotchkes), unless this was left over from pre ‘gentrification’ days?

This block is indeed weird. When going to Carroll Gardens from the North Slope my preferred route takes me down this block, I always passed this store. It seems like they could reopen in Marine Park’s King Plaza or along Ralph Avenue, there’s always storefronts there I think.
what are the “back rooms?”

…or both . Bring back the “back rooms.”
I just assumed it was part of that big church with entrance on Smith St (which originally was movie theater that had entrance on Fulton)
…or a sex club…
Please let it be a gay bar.
what is a christian themed store? do they sell those cool psychedelic virgin mary wall light fixtures? i love those! but then they started selling them at urban outfitters and it lost all its kitchsh factor.
