I have been to the Sackett house – not a great deal – really needs a gut reno in my opinion – the addition seemed to be very unstable and questionable consruction – 750 or 800 woould be a good deal but not over a mil
just my thoughts
Hey Brownstoner,
You should never list anything by Destination Realty. They never actually have what they are advertising. It is just away to collect names and phone numbers of potential customers.
The fort greene listing for $2.1 has been with halstead for a couple months.
My reaction to the Sackett St house was a little different. Houses on this block sold for much less until recently someone bought a similar sized house (in nasty condition) for $1.18 million that was on the market forever. I do not understand buyers’ behavior…
The Sackett St. house sounds like good deal – and if can negotiate down to $999k wouldn’t have to pay the ‘mansion tax’. (looks like house is only 18×35′ = 1890sq ft. plus 14′ ext = 2142sqft.) Real family type block.
I’m guessing 23rd and 5th
Over/under on the actual north-south location of that “South Slope” house: 20th Street.
