  1. yeah, the most are around rittenhouse square (delancey has some great ones), but i’ve also seen some in s. philly and even a handful near temple

  2. The only brownstones are around Rittenhouse Square…mostly on Spruce Street around 18-22nd St.

I think there are also a fair number in the fairmont Park section as well.

  3. i’d heard that about south philly but didn’t really believe it (aren’t there some actual brownstones down there? or are they a little more north?) Ironically, back in 72 my parents had it narrowed down to that stretch of s. philly vs east falls….

glad to hear dirty franks still there…

  4. oneastern…when’s the last time you were down there?

There are some amazing transitions going on. Passyunck Ave from Broad to 9th has become a completely new neighborhood with some really excellent restaurants.

  5. does your house in philly (and the 10 other ones you have) sit empty all week while youre in bed stuy!? crazytown, when you consider how many homeless people are out there 🙁

    *rob*

  6. Where’s federal?? Not sure what this means. Federals are larger than trinities with much higher ceilings. Mine was built in 1805 and I’m on 12th street just south of Pine.
