I’m not surprised at the timing for the C- They may do that because the A and the C both use the same track at Jay St and they sometimes bottleneck. then they continue using the same track to Manhattan- the stations don’t have a separate platform the way the 6 and the 4 do, for instance.
Yes, as Brooklyn’s only freshwater lake, there are most definitely fish in that pond! (Lots of locals who fish in the lake each morning will attest to that fact.) As a matter of fact, this is the 62nd year of the Annual Macy’s Fishing Contest. The venue is Prospect Park Lake and this year’s contest just started yesterday: http://www.nycgovparks.org/sub_newsroom/press_releases/press_releases.php?id=20852
they are not migratory. That is the problem. That was bred out of them.
But protected because supposedly migratory.
And worst train line is always the one you personally depend on/use most.
if birds are migratory, does culling them solve the problem or are they just replaced with the next passing flocks?
They certainly do make a mess of the lawn.
Sorry but the F is the worst!
it’s OVERLY crowded and especially in the evening going to BK – the average wait time is about 8 mins
I dunno about fish in the pond ….but they crap everywhere on land and love the grassy fields especially. So make unusable for kids or anyone.
M4L – it’s odd, if you go to the straphangers website it gives a bunch a stats about each train line – which were used for rating them. It says that the C is only scheduled to arrive every 9 minutes during the AM rush hour. This doesn’t seem accurate – especially when the system average is about 4 minutes.
The rest doesn’t seem too far fetched – the C is dirty, crowded and it has older trains (which break down more often)
Pete…are there fish in that pond???
