Brooklyn Greenway Initiative Benefit
The Brooklyn Greenway Initiative is hosting a fundraising benefit tonight from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. It takes place on the “beach” at the new East River State Park in Williamsburg. The Greenway is the new waterfront linear park that would run from Greenpoint to Red Hook. The fundraiser will feature cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and music. Tickets are available online for both the fundraiser and the after-party.

Democratic Debate Parties
Tonight, two simultaneous parties start at 8:30 p.m. to watch the Democratic Debate, live from Howard University. Both events are hosted by Bed-Stuy for Obama, though supportes of all candidates are welcome. Thursday, Common Grounds coffee shop, 376 Tompkins (between Jefferson & Putnam) and Bread-Stuy, 403 Lewis Avenue (at Decatur). Send RSVPs to bedstuy AT brooklynforbarack DOT org.

F Train Rally
Support elected officials at a press conference on Church Avenue for the restoration of express service on the F line. Council Members Bill de Blasio, Simcha Felder, and Domenic Recchia will be on hand, along with representatives from Downtown Brooklyn Partnership and Transportation Alternatives. Thursday. 2 p.m. Church Avenue Station, Church Avenue and McDonald Avenue.

Kensington Call to Action Meeting

Landmarks/Land Use Presentation
Tonight, Brooklyn Community Board 6 offers informational presentations on various developments. It takes place at the Prospect Park YMCA, 357 9th Street, between 5th and 6th Avenues, on the 7th floor. It begins at 6:00 p.m.
