Brooklyn and the Civil War at BPL
If you haven’t been yet, take advantage of the late hours tonight at the Brooklyn Public Library to check out the this exhibit on the borough’s role in the Civil War. Curated by Green-Wood Cemetery historian Jeff Richman, the exhibit includes period uniforms, battle flags, photographs and personal letters. Jazz Writing, Writing Jazz at Old Stone House
On December 13 at 8 p.m., come sip mulled cider as Brooklyn Reading Works presents Jazz Writing, Writing Jazz. Roy Nathanson will perform his jazz/spoken word poetry and author and Jason Weiss will read from his fiction and non fiction. The Old Stone House in JJ Byrne Park, Fifth Avenue and 3rd Street.
Tales for Tots at Brooklyn Museum
Designed especially for children 5 years old and younger, Tales for Tots exposes children to stories from around the world. The program is presented by the Brooklyn Children’s Museum as part of Museum on the Move. Meet in the Rudin Lobby on the first floor at 2:30 p.m.
