Any restaurant that hosts a 30-inch hotdog eating contest is setting itself up to be the target of myriad sophomoric jokes. Luckily, we’re extremely mature and can resist all temptation. Schnack, the establishment in question, will be hosting the final round of the contest on May 29, with contestants having been pre-qualified in heats earlier this month. The speed snarfers must not separate bun from dog and are allowed as much free beer as they like to wash it all down. Gawkers are invited to Schnack HQ at 122 Union Street at 1 p.m. to witness the ugliness. The winner gets $500, easily enough for some Rolaids and good colonic.
