Developer Red Apple Group, owned by grocery store mogul John Catsimatidis, hopes to start construction on its third Fort Greene building later this year. The building will have approximately 200 units, 40 of which will be affordable, according to The Brooklyn Paper.

A fourth building is still planned. It will house about 400 units. Construction will start in 2015. Other details are still being hammered out.

The second building in the development, 81 Fleet Place, will be called the Giovanni. Construction is set to wrap this year. Pictured above is the construction site in April. As reported, 81 Fleet Place will have 205 market-rate rental units plus ground-floor retail. Red Apple Group’s first building in the area, the Andrea at 218 Myrtle Avenue, opened in 2010. The buildings are named after Catsimatidis’ children.
