Are hot dogs sandwiches?
Host Dan Pashman and comedian John Hodgman will answer this and other pressing food questions this Tuesday, November 10, as WNYC hosts a live taping of the food podcast The Sporkful at the Bell House in Gowanus.
On the Media’s Brooke Gladstone will moderate, with renowned New York Times food critic Mimi Sheraton taking questions from attendees. Ben Schneider and Sohui Kim, the husband-wife duo behind Red Hook restaurant The Good Fork, will spill the truth on running a restaurant as a couple, and food trucks Chipper Truck and Walter’s of Mamaroneck will spare Brooklynites a trek to the Bronx by bringing their Irish Chips and old-school hogs to the show.
“It can’t possibly be as entertaining as the recent presidential debates,” Sporkful producer Anne Noyes Saini told Brownstoner, “but it should be good, satirical fun!”
Tickets are $25, available online. Doors are at 7 p.m. and the show begins at 8 p.m., with seating available on a first-come, first-served basis. The event is 21+.
