The Brooklyn Paper reported that the new owners of Monte’s started welcoming customers yesterday. The old-school Italian restaurant on Carroll between 3rd Avenue and Nevins closed down in 2008, and while the name “Monte’s” has been retained, the menu has completely changed (click through to see it). The interior has also been overhauled. The new offerings include dishes like cavatelli primavera ($16), grilled salmon ($24), and pizzas ($11-$17).
